Arts & Culture Master Plan Update

We are updating the Carson City Arts & Culture Master Plan that was adopted in 2016.

The 2016 plan is now five years old – so it does not capture the current situation and environment that we are now operating in. The new plan will be the roadmap guiding all activities that we undertake to support and help grow arts and culture in Carson City. We want your input to determine the highest priorities and ensure that it focuses on goals and activities that are important to you.

To participate, open and download the fillable form below – fill it out, save it and email it to us at

Learn More

Carson City is a contemporary capital dedicated to promoting its evolving arts and culture community.  Through cultivating displays of creativity, education, and participation, Carson City helps build and promote its quality of life aspirations held by residents and visitors alike.  We believe a creative municipal identity provokes new and informative dialogues, recognizes and engages its inherent cultural and civic diversity, and articulates the positive social and economic impact of the arts.

Art and culture are integral parts of creating a community with an unparalleled quality of life.  In a very real sense, they are the glue that bonds our quality of life.

– Former Mayor Robert Crowell, State of the City Address 2018
