Summer 2023 is packed with events many have come to know and love. Let’s take a closer look at some of the highlights!
Taste of Downtown – June 17, 2023
Our annual Taste of Downtown event is sure to jumpstart your summer! It’s a favorite of locals and visitors alike to explore 40+ restaurants in the charming downtown of Carson City.
The event originally started as a major fundraising event by Advocates To End Domestic Violence, a non-profit agency providing services to survivors. Now in its 31st year, Taste of Downtown is expected to sell four times the number of tickets as it did in 1995.
June 17th is one night full of delicious dining experiences, live music, shopping, and the perfect atmosphere for socializing with old and new friends. Join us from 5:30 pm to 9:30 pm to support domestic violence advocacy and let your tastebuds run wild!
Capital City Brewfest – June 24, 2023
Are you in pursuit of hoppiness? You won’t want to miss this event! Carson City is home to the annual Capital City Brewfest, where more than two dozen breweries set up shop from 3:00 pm till 8:00 pm. There will also be food trucks to satisfy your hunger and live music to enjoy. Check out the event’s website for more information about which brewers are attending.
If you love brews, beats, and building up community projects, you’ll definitely want to attend this event! Tickets are on sale now; they cost $35 in advance and $40 on the event day. All proceeds go towards the event sponsor, Rotary Club of Carson City, to continue their community projects as well as fund scholarship and youth leadership programs.
Father’s Day Pow Wow – June 17-18, 2023
Since 1990, the Stewart Indian School opens its doors to those interested in experiencing Carson City’s Native American heritage in addition to celebrating Father’s Day. American Indian dancers, drummers, artists and craftsmen come from all over the northwestern Nevada region to make this event come to life. You won’t want to miss the dancing, arts and crafts and storytelling by Stewart’s alumni.
This event is free and spans the whole weekend by immersing visitors in Native American festivities, history and food. Swing by the school’s not-to-be-missed Cultural Center and Museum, too.
The Levitt AMP Concert Series – June 17-August 19, 2023
Families, groups of friends, couples and individuals alike can celebrate all summer long together at The Levitt AMP Concert Series. Our Brewery Arts Center has been the host of this event since 2016, boosting the spirits of locals and visitors alike with music.
The first event takes place June 17th. Keep your eyes peeled on the website to see how the summer lineup shakes out.
Thanks to the support of the Mortimer & Mimi Levitt Foundation, all concerts are free for anyone to attend. Every Saturday, a new ensemble will be featured along with a new opening act. Be sure to mark your calendars and come early to get a good spot!
A sneak peek into the fall

Discover the collective artistic flair around the city by touring downtown and other iconic locations. Taking place the weekend of Sept. 28-30, you can also enjoy live music at the Brewery Arts Center, and other locations, which will be announced soon!
