Carson River Park is a scenic 40-acre outdoor recreation area in eastern Carson City, offering direct access to the Carson River and miles of surrounding multi-use trails. Popular with walkers, runners, cyclists, anglers, and nature lovers, the park features a handicap-accessible fishing pier, river access points, and wide, relatively flat walking paths suitable for a variety of ability levels.

The park serves as a key trailhead for exploring the Carson River corridor, making it a great starting point for hiking, biking, wildlife viewing, and seasonal photography. Fall is one of the most beautiful times to visit, as cottonwood trees along the river turn vibrant shades of gold from mid to late October, creating one of the best fall color displays in Carson City.
Amenities include a trailhead parking lot and enclosed portable restrooms available seasonally (typically April through November). The park is open daily from sunrise to sunset.
Location: 5013 Carson River Road, on the south side of Carson River Road across from Lloyd’s Bridge and Pinion Hills Drive in eastern Carson City.
Whether you’re casting a line, enjoying a riverside walk, or exploring the greater Carson River trail system, Carson River Park offers accessible outdoor adventure in every season.
