Discover Some of the Country’s Best Running Trails. #RunCarsonCity

Is running your activity of choice? Whether  it is long distance on trails or a quick jog around town, Carson City was voted one of the most “Runner Friendly Communities” by The Road Runners Club of America. From the award winning Ash to Kings Canyon Trail to the west and the high desert trails to the east,  Carson City offers plenty of paths for runners of all levels.

With a focus on quality of life for residents and visitors alike, Carson City’s nearly 6,000 acres of open space are woven with a variety of trail systems, designed to be both safe and scenic, that wind you through a number of ecosystems. And with a close proximity to downtown, many consider the trail heads to be right out their front door. Carson City also offers almost 30 miles of paved trails maintained by the city, with water fountains and restrooms along the way, as well as miles of designated biking and running lanes on city streets.

Carson City hosts world class events throughout the year. Runners come from all over the world to challenge themselves on our trails.
