Celebrate Twain’s wild Nevada adventure with a weekend full of art, music, literary events, historic ghost tours, the Twain Train, and more in Carson City at the Brewery Arts Center and Virginia City. Experience the spirit of the West and rediscover yourself—just like Twain did.

Low Brow Social
Bow Tie Ball? Not this year! We are going low country this year to celebrate some of Twain’s most enduring characters Huck Finn and Tom Sawyer!
Join us at the Nevada State Museum for southern inspired cuisine catered by Nashville Social Club with a live hot jazz band and musicians and poets scattered throughout the museum. No need to dress up for this affair, come dressed as you are and experience all the fun!

The Twain Train
When: 2026 Information Coming Soon
Where: Departs Eastgate Depot, Carson City
Duration: 5 hours (includes 2 hours in Virginia City)
Your Twain Train adventure begins in Carson City at 2:00 pm. Travel 24 miles through scenic Nevada landscapes, arriving in Virginia City by 3:15 pm. Spend two hours exploring historic streets filled with special festival exhibitions, antique shops, saloons, and the same wooden boardwalks Twain once strolled.
Territorial Enterprise Tours
During Mark Twain Days, the historic Territorial Enterprise Mark Twain Museum will be open for walk-in tours. If you’d like to arrange a group visit or schedule a tour time in advance, please contact Steven Saylor at steven.territorialenterprise@
Depart Virginia City at 5:30 pm, arriving back in Carson City at 6:45 pm.
