2023 Historic Resources Commission Scavenger Hunt
Carson City, NV – In recognition of Historic Preservation and Archeological Awareness Month, the City’s Historic Resources Commission has organized the 2023 Scavenger Hunt. This year’s hunt focuses on identifying the unique elements that reflect the architectural styles of the period from 1900 to 1975.
A copy of the 2023 Scavenger Hunt can be obtained at 108 East Proctor Street or at carson.org/historicscavengerhunt. Completed answers are due by 3 PM May 31, 2023. Answers may be submitted in person at 108 East Proctor Street, online or emailed to [email protected]. For the 5th year in a row, Jim Phalan of Fox Brewpub is donating a gift card to the person whose hunt is drawn from correct entries.
Also, at the Board of Supervisor’s May 4 meeting, the 2023 Historic Preservation Award will be presented recognizing Doctor Gregory Hayes for his outstanding contributions to Carson City’s Historic Preservation including serving on the Carson City Historic Resources Commission from January 2007 until his passing in November 2022.
