Now approaching its 30th year, Taste of Downtown not only puts you in touch with Carson City’s best food, sweets, beverages, and beyond—it was created to fundraise for ending domestic violence and enhance the revitalization of historic downtown Carson City. As one of Carson City’s most popular and largest annual events, taste your way through dozens of local restaurants, then shop hop your way through a distinctive lineup of unique shopping for a Carson City special event you won’t forget.
With more than 40 local Carson City restaurants participating, 15 shops and galleries, and seven live bands playing into the night, dig into fabulous food, shopping and more at one of the Capital City’s biggest social events of the year.
With regular participants like Fox Brew Pub, LA Bakery, Great Basin Brewery, and Shoe Tree Brewing Co., get your hands on all kinds of samplings from a variety of local restaurants and dining experiences, beverages, and sweet treats. Restaurants are awarded each year, under the categories of Best Atmosphere, Best Taste, Best Sweet Taste, Best Beverage, Best Overall, Best Discovery, Best Shop, and Best Band. Grab a bite and a beer, then kick back (or dance the night away!) to live music from local bands like Margaret’s Funk Band, Southbound Train, The Lost Reverends, Bobby Zoppi and the Corduroys and beyond.
