Teen Escape Room Now at the Carson City Library

CARSON CITY, Nev. (July 14, 2022) – Escape rooms offer a challenging experience, problem-solving and build camaraderie. The Carson City Library is offering teens an opportunity to escape this July. The library’s Digitorium will transform into a submarine that’s become stuck and is leaking water – passengers need to solve the puzzles, find the key and escape before it’s too late. The program is free and a limited number of spots remain for sessions taking place Friday, July 15, Saturday, July 23 and Friday, July 29. Advance registration is required.

“A library is designed to fuel the imagination and that’s exactly the type of programming we look to offer our community. What better way to do so than with an interactive opportunity like an escape room,” said Carson City Library Director Tod Colegrove. “Groups will solve a puzzle to escape from the submarine and since the groups are random, they could meet a new friend or two.”

The escape room supports the Carson City Library’s summer reading challenge, “Oceans of Possibilities” running now through Aug. 6, 2022. The library transformed into an underwater reading haven with coral reefs, Orca and blue whales and manta rays swimming overhead to inspire the community to read a cumulative total of 400,000 minutes throughout the challenge weeks.
