Join the Carson City Park Rangers and geologist Tom Gray for an adventure that truly rocks! On this hike we will be discussing the geology of Nevada and Carson City and looking at some cool examples along the way. We will check out the rocks in the parking lot of the Prison Hill OHV area, then we will hike along the new west side trail.
The hike is considered “Easy” according to the IMBA Trail Rating System but, expect some rocky and possibly uneven ground as we explore the rock features. We will be hiking for about 2 miles. Dress for the weather, bring water and wear closed toe shoes.
