Tucked behind the State Library and Archives on the Capitol grounds, the Battle Born Memorial to Nevada’s Fallen Warriors carries the name of 895 Nevadans killed in service — from the Civil War forward, organized by the conflict that took them. It’s a quiet place to honor and reflect all those who haves their lives in service. If you’re in Carson City today, it’s worth the short walk to the back of the grounds. No ceremony required — just a moment to read a few names and remember what the day is actually for. 🇺🇸 The memorial is open to the public on the Nevada State Capitol grounds.
