On Saturdays from 11:00am-3:00pm, we will activate historical Coin Press No. 1 to mint the 1870 CC Liberty Seated Half Dollar replica, sculpted by retired U.S. Mint engraver, Tom Rogers. This replica will be minted on Nevada silver (thanks to Coeur Rochester mining company) on the same press and in the same building that the originals were minted on in 1870. Visitor can purchase a .999 fine planchet at the museum store for $125 and watch theirs being minted in front of them.
