Association presents Ellen Burr, Flutist, in House Recital

The Carson City Symphony Association presents “Flute and Piano House Recital,” an evening of music, conversation, wine, and dessert on Friday, October 22, 2021, at 7:30 p.m. at a private home, 191 Heidi Circle in Carson City. The recital will introduce music lovers in our area to world acclaimed musicians from southern California, flutist Ellen Burr and pianist Lorenzo Sánchez.
Tickets are $25 and are available online at CCSymphony.com or by calling the Symphony at 775-883-4154 for reservations. Space is limited. COVID vaccinations are required and masks (when not eating or drinking) are required.
The varied program of music by composers from Baroque to Contemporary periods includes works by J.S. Bach, Bohuslav Martinu, Mark Mower, Ned Rorem, and others.
Ellen Burr has performed and composed for numerous films, television and radio shows, chamber music, dance, theater and opera, and has had over fifty of her compositions performed in the United States and Europe. She is featured on more than twenty CDs in styles as diverse as experimental classical and Celtic folk.
