The fair is happening December 12 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Get in the ho, ho, holiday spirit at on the Trail of Lights in Washoe Valley.

The magic of Christmas is coming to life in the Washoe Valley. Just north of Carson City, Washoe Lake State Park’s inaugural Trail of Lights kicked off Thursday night, featuring holiday scenes and colorful light displays. The drive-thru festival of lights, which features 24 different displays, allows visitors to enjoy some Christmas cheer safely from their vehicles. $5/vehicle.

Christmas lights along the Kit Carson Trail are beautiful this time of year, the Governor’s Mansion and The Capitol building are must-see’s during Christmas time or to grab the festive photo op .
