The Nevada Legislative Gift Shop was authorized by the Nevada Legislature during the 1995 session and opened in 1997 to address the demand for a place to purchase souvenirs by visitors to the Legislative Building. Our focus is on merchandise specific to the Nevada Legislature, Nevada government, and those symbols of the state officially recognized by statute. You will also find a range of products representing emblems recognized as “official” by statute. The Desert Bighorn Sheep (official state animal), the Desert Tortoise (official state reptile), the Mountain Bluebird (official state bird), and the Vivid Dancer Damselfly (official state insect) are among the emblems we use most frequently. Most items incorporate reproductions of the Nevada State Seal, the Battle Born insignia from the Nevada flag, and the insignia from the Nevada Legislature’s flag. We also offer images of the current legislative building, as well as the Nevada capitol building, home of the legislature for 100 years. We encourage you to visit our store when in Carson City.
