The Capital City Arts Initiative [CCAI] presents visual art exhibitions in three public locations in Carson City including the CCAI Courthouse Gallery located in the Carson City Courthouse, in the City’s business development facility, and in the Community Center’s Sierra Room. CCAI hosts four Nevada Neighbors talks each year by artists, curators, and scholars from around the West discussing their work in public presentations and with area students.

 

The active Nevada Artists’ Association Gallery in the Brewery Arts Center [BAC] displays paintings, glass work, and photography by its members. The BAC’s Artisan’s Store provides a beautiful assortment of work for sale by local artists. Photography, jewelry, pottery and sculptures are just a few of the locally made arts and crafts you can take home with you.

 

The Nevada Arts Council’s OXS Gallery presents artwork by contemporary award-winning Nevada artists at 716 N Carson Street.

 

Western Nevada College hosts the Main Gallery, the College Gallery, and the Atrium Gallery in the Bristlecone Building on campus; all three galleries present a variety of art by local artists as well as traveling regional exhibits.

Atsy Fartsy is a Nevada-centric gallery featuring contemporary art from the top local artists.

 

Comma Coffee has the Backseat Gallery which does monthly exhibits with special opening night events.

 

The Carson City Visitors Bureau at 716 N. Carson St,  has a monthly rotating art gallery exhibiting different artists from Nevada Artists Association

 

Chamber of Commerce Gallery at 1900 S Carson Street has local artisans work for display and sale in their gift shop.
