Located on the east side of Carson City East, at the end of Fifth Street at Marsh Road, this 109-acre natural area extends from the Korean War Veterans Memorial Park to the banks of the Carson River. Many wide and reletively level dirt trails traverse the area and going along the river leading visitors to beaches and resting areas near the river. The area is rich with wildlife, especially birds. Wild mustangs occasionally forage in the area. Dogs are allowed off leash during all park hours but are not allowed in the wetland areas and must be under adequate control of their owners at all times. Riverview park is open to hikers, bikers, and horse back riding and serves as a hub to connect other open space areas along the Carson River by trail.
