Performing Arts: Music, Theater, Dance

The Brewery Arts Center provides a hub for the arts from intimate performances to major events and concerts in the Maizie Harris Jesse Black Box Theater, the Performance Hall, and the Grand Ballroom.


Carson City Symphony, founded in 1984, is a community orchestra and performs five or more concerts annually in Carson City and in the region. The Symphony performs classical and contemporary works and has commissioned and premiered several pieces.


The Mile High Jazz Band presents jazz and big band music on the second Tuesday of every month at Comma Coffee and every August its two-week jazz festival, Jazz & Beyond, takes place all over town; coming August 7 – 23, 2015.


Western Nevada Musical Theatre Company presents extraordinary productions at the Community Center’s Bob Boldrick showcasing outstanding casts, sets, and music that rivals the best of Broadway.  The Boldrick Theatre frequently hosts Youth Theater Carson City on its main stage.


Kids perform on stage: Both Wild Horse Children’s Theater and Youth Theater Carson City both invite community participation in their quality productions.
