The Carson City Historic Resources Commission will celebrate Historic Preservation Month in May with their fifth annual Historic Preservation Scavenger Hunt, which is being held May 1-28. There will be two scavenger hunts, one for adults and one for kids. The adults have to find 30 historic architectural features and the kids have to find 20. All of the features will be located within the Historic District, with the kids having a smaller area to cover.
Completed entries must be submitted by 4pm on May 28th to the Planning Division at 108 E. Proctor Street. Entries with all correct answers will be entered into a drawing to be held on May 30th. Adults will be competing for a free lunch for two at Adele’s and kids will compete for a gift certificate to Brugo’s Pizza. The scavenger hunt packets will be available beginning on May 1st at the Planning Division office and on the webpage.
