An event every day that begins at 12:00am, repeating until September 30, 2017
The Library is participating in the international program, Outside the Lines, which promotes libraries and gets the public engaged in participating in library programs. We are hosting a self-led Story Stroll that will be available to the public at Carson River Park September 10-30, 2017 to promote reading, highlight our open spaces, and engage our community.
Are you willing to walk a mile for our library?
If so, go to Carson River Park at 5013 Carson River Road. Bilingual picture book, Colors! ¡Colores! by Jorge Luján and Piet Grobler, will be mounted along the river trail for participants to read as they stroll through the park, one page at a time. Each page will be placed approximately 100 feet apart (the Story Stroll will be approximately .25 miles, one way).
Be sure to document your stroll by taking pictures and using the hashtags #getOTL #CCStoryStroll #IWalkForMyLibrary on Social Media.
